The Doug flag is the unofficial flag of the region and proposed country of Cascadia in the Pacific Northwest of North America, which spans most of Oregon, Washington and British Columbia. The flag, designed in 1994 by Alexander Baretich from Portland, Oregon, is a horizontal tricolor of blue, white and green, charged with a dark green Douglas fir silhouette. The colors respectively represent the region's waters (including the Pacific coast and the Salish Sea), its snow and clouds, and its forests and grass fields.
