Author: Philip Tibbetts.

Rationale: Largely a simplification of the existing flag. The centre of the design is focussed on the flaming pyre of a torch, representing liberty and nlightenment. Around the torch are a series of radiating beams thus denoting both the illuminating light of the torch as well as the state’s nickname of ‘The Cross Roads of America’. The torch and beams are gold, whilst the field is blue, the official colours of Indiana
