Flag proposal for Massachusetts by ironchefshark, from http://smg.photobucket.com/user/IronChefShark/library/flags.
"Massachusetts is one of the original 13 colonies and is the most populated state in the region known as "New England", therefore I used a St. Georges cross design to reference the state's ties to its history with England. Two of the state's official colors are used here. The primary color is cranberry red (yes, that really is an official state color), and there is a blue border along the white cross. I kept the state seal at the center of the flag, however, there could be a variant of this flag that doesnt have the state seal."
