Flag proposal for New Hampshire by ironchefshark, from

Original description:

"There is a movement in New Hampshire to adopt purple as the official state color. After all, it is the same color as the state bird (purple finch) and the state flower (purple lilac). So of course, I used purple in a horizonal bi-color design over white. The horizontal bi-color design is a tribute to the state's namesake, the county Hampshire in England, which uses a red over yellow horizontal bi-color for its flag. At center I made a simple seal, depicting a silhouette of the now eroded away Old Man of the Mountain, which is still regarded as an iconic symbol in New Hampshire. In the outlying circle, the top has nine stars, representing NH as the 9th state admitted to the union, and the bottom features the state motto "Live Free or Die"."
